Savages Movie Quotes

In the movie, Johnson and Kitsch are Ben and Chon: best friends who start a homegrown marijuana business together in California. A Mexican drug cartel doesn't take kindly with the success of their weed business -- and the group kidnaps Ben and Chon's mutual girlfriend, Ophelia (Blake Lively), or "O." This list includes some of the best quotes from 'Savages,' but it is by no means complete, so please, add any quotes that are missing. And don't forget to vote for your favorite 'Savages' film quotes, too!

Savages Movie Quotes,

Kill Them

Chon: "You let people think you're weak, sooner or later you're going to have to kill them."

Chon has no problem taking care of the violent side of the business, dealing with thugs and other lowlifes who often come around whenever drugs are involved. Chon knows that showing any weakness at all to anyone, especially a major drug cartel, could be deadly. Ben doesn't want to be involved in any way with that end of things -- but unfortunately for him, he's about to get involved in a major way.
Cutting Their Throats

Elena: "I like talking to you, Ophelia, but let me remind you that if I had to, I wouldn't have a problem cutting both their throats."

Elena "La Reina" Sanchez Lauter is the ruthless leader of the Baja Cartel. She's kidnapped O, threatening to have her beheaded if Chon and Ben don't agree to give her group a cut of their drug action. She's cordial enough to O, but she makes it quite clear here that she won't hesitate to kill if anything stands in her way.
Anything

Chon: "They took our girl, and I will do anything -- anything -- to get her back."
Dennis: "You stabbed a federal agent!"

Dennis (John Travolta) is a DEA agent who isn't exactly on the up and up. When O is kidnapped by the Mexican drug cartel, Dennis tries to advise them on what to do. He attempts to explain that it's best to let this one go -- the guys are simply outmatched by the cartel, and they'll lose their lives (and their business) trying to fight them.
Love Story

Elena: "There is something wrong with your love story baby."

Elena (Salma Hayek) is the leader of the Mexican Baja Cartel, and it's on her orders that O is kidnapped. Elena is a gracious "host" to O, but as she points out, O's love life is a little...unconventional.
A Clean Business

Dennis: "You guys, you have a clean business, but now when cartels are moving north, they want a Ben and Chon section on aisle three."

Dennis does his best to explain to Ben and Chon that they're going to have to deal with powerful drug cartels as their business becomes more successful.
Both of Them

Ophelia: "Every successful business has an origin. Ben went to Berkeley and double majored in business and botany. He takes 99 percent of the violence out of the business. The other one percent? Well, that's where Chon comes in. And yes, I'm with both of them."

The relationship between Ben (Aaron Johnson), Chon (Taylor Kitsch) and O is complicated, and simple: They both love her, and each man brings something integral to their incredibly successful drug business: Ben is the peaceful one, the business side of things, and Chon is the enforcer. Dealing in drugs of any kind almost always leads to violence, and Chon handles that end.
Weakness

Elena: "They must be taught respect. I found their weakness."

Elena is determined to teach Ben and Chon a "lesson" about respecting her large and powerful drug cartel. The best way to get to the guys? Kidnap their beautiful girlfriend, O.
Out of Control

Ophelia: "Just cause I'm telling you this story doesn't mean doesn't mean I'm alive at the end of it. It's that kind of story, where things just got so out of control."

Ophelia, or "O," (Blake Lively) is the love interest of two men. These two men, Chon and Ben, are the kingpins of a marijuana business in ritzy Laguna Beach, California. Things are going really well until, as O says, things began to spin completely out of control.
You Thought I Wouldn't Notice?

Elena: "So, Lado, now I'm talking to you. Is everything alright?"
Lado: "Yes La Reina, why do you ask?"
Elena (slaps Lado): "You thought I wasn't gonna notice three million dollars and seven of my men dead?!"

Lado (Benicio del Toro) is Elena's right-hand man and enforcer. He is a brutal killer, and won't hesitate to cut anyone's head off (with a chainsaw, no less). Lado gets O, following Elena's instructions, but in the process, he screws up and suffers her wrath.
